Spring Polaris Challenge
29.03.2008

The For Goodness Shakes van was beginning to feel more like a tornado valley storm chaser. The view from England as we approached the Severn Bridge was grim. Wales was engulfed by an evil black mass that hung heavily over the valleys and rain was soon pelting the windscreen like ball bearings and bouncing across the road. For most, the riding this weekend would be more like a fight for survival than a fight to win anything.

Bayliss on the number!
25.03.2008

Stephen Bayliss with Second at One-O-One in build up to UK 70.3 Triathlon

From seventh on the bike leg Stephen Bayliss stormed through his run to the second step of the podium at Triathlon One-O-One’s season opener in Florida. On his result he commented, ‘I had a great run. I felt good straight away and moved up from seventh to second fairly quickly. I managed to make up about three minutes on the winner but his lead off the bike was just too much.’ Bayliss added, ‘I feel this performance is a good step forward for me. I think I had the fastest run split and definitely feel like I am moving in the right direction with the UK 70.3 around the corner and the world’s later this year.’ Stephen is looking forward to setting foot on home soil at the 70.3 Ironman UK triathlon at Exmoor.
